    Properties

    Bonjour;

    Personally, if I had enough money, i would be investing in properties, You make big money I suppose, the only problem is that the process of buying and selling takes ages and let's not even talk about all the procedures you have to take (solicitors, surveyors, banks...) But what you make at the end is worth it. My Land lady is a bloody tycoon because she invested in properties in the eighties...I wish my dad had done the same....

    Bonjour Jason

    I totally disagree with you matey, Surely there's more return in shares investments, or buying other types of investments. However, the advantage of investing in properties is that property carry less risk than shares and other stocks. Properties will always be a must have for everyone, everyone needs a studio, flat or house where to live, companies will always need space where to produce goods or services...

    So, I wish my father had invested in properties before!!!

    Hey;

    Some of the world's wealthiest people amassed their riches by leveraging their money to buy investment property. Property investors can buy properties with only 15% of the actual price and then use use the tenants to pay the mortgage... The mortgage is being paid for and the propert stays theirs...The only disadvantge stays in whatever has been stated by Jason (paper work, solicitors...)

    Properties...Ermmm, I think you will have to spend too much time and hell lot of money to buy a flat and then rent it out for like £1000-£2000. You call this a good investmet??? If you are a successful spread bettor, you would make that in aa matter of days mate!!!

    My friend has an estate agency and from what he tells me, investing in property is really the best thing, you could get rich if you have some decent capital to start with. Just being an estate agent itself makes you really rich, all you need is good investors and you are sorted...

    Bonjour les ami(e)s

    True that properties are can make you really wealthy, but as we all know you need too much to start with. When in investing in shares or spread betting, you can make just as much with much lower deposit... It is all about what type of a risk taker you are:
    Risk averse
    Risk neutral
    Risk lover

    Hi people;

    With properties, unless you can get a minimum of 6% or 8% return on your investment , and get capital growth, its not worth doing!!! a few years ago there was only a few places to let, today on a ride around town there are more places to let then are for sale!!!!
    I dont think this is the right time to buy , only when the market has mopped up all these places to let, I will consider investing in properties!!!

    Enjoy your weekend

    Morning folks;

    I also truly believe in property investment. You know your money is safe unlike with share trading, CFDs or Spread Betting, although it is a long term investment.

    I think the best way to invest money in properties is to buy repossessed ones. Buy them in auctions and rent them out. The tenenants will be paying for the mortgage and you are left with your property and we all know the house property is only going to rise in the future or stay steady or dip down slightly at the worst case scenario...

    Surely you can make that one or two thousand pounds in a matter of days!!! The problem is that it takes only some hours to blow your profits away!!!

    I have looked into both property and shares in the past and I activily invested in property and having looked at shares even fairly recently I still cant bring myself to invest in them because the fact is its just not as good as investing in the real thing.

    I have bought 3 properties including my own. I didnt invest a single penny of my own money to purchase these properties. I only used my capital buying the first property and used the gains I made to invest in the others...
