IG index's new platform is very good. I’ve been using the old platform it now for about 3-4 months and have never had problems, this new one is so far so brilliant

These advanced charts they have are brilliant and whilst it took me a little while to get the indicators right and get used to them. You can pretty much track anything you like and set up alerts to tell you when triggers are reached. I will rate them 9/10

I think IG are good, but not thaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat good, they are facing big competition from other brokers, CITY Index and CMC Markets are giving them a big headache and that is only good for us investors to profit from their efforts

Hi there;

I don't spread much, I opened one single account with IG Index and i place a trade now and then... Their site is easy to use, provides you with all you need to learn or start trading and explains clearly everything you need to know. Your winnings from Spread Betting are tax free which is a plus, but be warned this is in no way easy money and I have both lost and won in many occasions - be sure to research everything properly, be cautious and sensible, don't go over the top and only bet what you can afford. I can't compare IG's platform to any other as i don't have any other accounts, but all I can say is that, the platform is very simple and easy to use, customer service is excellent although i was forced to contact them only twice in the last two years.
Overall, I will rate them 4/5

No wonder this Group is the leader in Spread Betting and CFDs trading... And no wonder most MFG ex customers all joined them...There is something about IG...

They have the best platform, it is just great to look at. Their range of products is extensive and generally their fills are great until now.

IG is my main broker for trading, but I am thinking of closing my account with them, I dont know what happened to their dealing system but it just does not accept my positions when the market moves as little as 0.1 of a tick on £5 per point regardless of the market I am trading. It's just frustrating!!! Does anyone of you face these problems???

All the spread betting brokers are like this, you make good money and you think you are really doing well, once they see that you are actually making money, they black list you and they start playing games with you. It happened to me with them and with capital spreads, they keep delaying my orders and sometimes I see the charts indicating something and the figures I have in my account indicating something else!!! They are there to make money out of your pockets not vice versa!!!

I have problems with IG but they're my main broker, I don't understand why they aren't accepting my trades but they're my main broker....blah blah blah.... Get a life mate or get another broker!!!
